All humans living today are offsprings of the same chain of ancesters and all of these individuals are connected by their evolutionary past – the installation „Human Fabric #1“ makes these connections visible. The data for this human fabric is provided through my own family relations (containing 600 individuals at the moment). A drawn family tree (Mycelium of Humans #1, by now containing over 2000 Individuals) is serving as construction plan for the complex and widely ramified sculpture that is hovering in the space.

Working on a new Segment of "Human Fabric #1" at Künstlerdorf Schöpping, 2018

The more informations on further relatives I will be able to find in the future, the bigger the Human Fabric will be growing, connecting the past with the future and the generations amongst eachother.

The installation is showing a tiny segment of the mycelium of human relations that connects all of us.
